The Community Integrated Living Arrangement (CILA) Program offers housing and 24-hour, on-site supervision and support to 8 males diagnosed with a chronic mental illness. The program combines case management, counseling, and psychosocial rehabilitation services.The program design includes highly structured services geared toward reducing recidivism rates and facilitating the movement of program participants into their independent housing through skills development. CILA Program goals promote optimal independence in daily living, community integration, and economic self-sufficiency.Program services also include Medication monitoring and maintenance, social rehabilitation, psychiatric follow-up, group, individual, and peer support, and Community residential placement upon program completion.
Shore Community Services Services manages the Patricia Lloyd Townhomes in Evanston and scattered-site apartments in Evanston and Skokie, which comprise the Supported Living Arrangements Program (SLA). The Townhomes are a row of five two-story units, each housing two individuals who are able to live more independently. Ten individuals live in the homes, and many have community employment. Residents are responsible for themselves and their homes. The residents in apartments have intermittent contact with staff. Services are provided on an as-needed basis and include: budgeting, housekeeping training, interpersonal counseling, case management, cooking, shopping, and transportation training.

LSSI offers several CILA homes for adults age 18+ with intellectual/developmental disabilities throughout the state. Our goal is to help residents achieve maximum growth and independence in a caring and supportive community setting. LSSI provides residents with structure and supervision, helping them increase self-sufficiency, add to their independent living skills, develop and maintain relationships, and use resources in the community. Recognizing several limitations of our residents, LSSI also insists upon their potential.
Offers an innovative approach to assisted living housing for those with physical disabilities. By combining apartment-style housing with personal care and services, residents can live independently with dignity and privacy while avoiding the burden of maintaining a home. Residents can enjoy the freedom of a 24-hour support staff available for scheduled and unscheduled needs.

A range of living options for people with developmental disabilities and mental illness: - CILA (Community-Integrated Living Arrangment): Intermittent or 24/7 support, depending on need, for daily tasks like dressing, cooking, cleaning, reaching personal goals, and other aspects of community life. - Apartments: Can choose between single unit with intermittent support or 2-3 person unit with 24-hour support. Also known as "permanent supportive housing arrangements." - ICF/DDs: Two 16-bed intermediate care facilities for people with developmental disabilities. - Home-Based Services: Intermittent support for people who live in their own homes or with family members. - Shared Living: Contracts with individuals or families who provide direct support for up to two people with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities.

Esperanza's three Community Integrated Living Arrangement (CILA) homes are located in residential neighborhoods on the Northwest side of Chicago and provide support to adults with Intellectual and Developmental disabilities.
Lazarus House has access to limited grant funding which provides assistance with rent, mortgage, and utilities. There are also programs for permanent supportive housing for the chronically homeless with a disabling condition. To receive help, funds must be available and individuals must qualify according to grant requirements. Within certain programs, case management services and life skill classes are offered.

Enables an adult to live in his or her own apartment with support and assistance from the Pioneer Center team. Staff help individuals build the skills they need to live independently, such as budgeting, grocery shopping, and housekeeping. The team also provides psycho-social support, helping each participant to cope with daily stresses. Pioneer Center’s Community Homes (or Group Homes) provide a family living environment, where adults share a home in the community with up to seven peers, under the supervision of staff. The residents share in all aspects of running a Pioneer Center group home, such as cooking, cleaning, and grocery shopping. Pioneer Center has eight intellectual and developmental disability community homes nestled in neighborhoods throughout McHenry County.
