Bloom Township offers the Systematic Training for Effective Parenting (STEP) class where parents learn to effectively understand children's behavior, improve communication, and set limits along with consequences. The 6-session program has provided service to Probation and DCFS-referred clients as well as those who are self-referred. Classes are held on Monday evenings from 4:00pm to 6:00pm. Hours may be changed to adapt to the client's work schedule.

Services are available to case management and placement providers as well as to parents and their families. In managing statewide services for pregnant and parenting teens under a single umbrella, UCAN aims to provide seamless service and a full continuum of care. Centro de Información provides parenting classes in both English and Spanish. These courses are made up of nine, two-hour classes which meet once a week over a nine-week period. Throughout the course, parents have opportunities to seek advice, share concerns, and relate to other parents. Attendees will receive small assignments to do at home and will be required to pass a final exam in order to complete the course.If parents have been referred by the Department of Children and Families Services (DCFS), the instructor will make up to four home visits during the nine weeks of the course. If parents have been referred by the court or a private agency, the cost will be based on the agency and court requirements.

(AOGRC) TANF Parent Mentoring Program is a program that supports families receiving Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) benefits, primarily focusing on low-income African American and Latino parents. The program helps these parents develop leadership skills, further their education and employment, and become positive role models for their children. A key component is that participating parents volunteer in classrooms to support students and teachers, receive professional development, and can be provided with a stipend after completing a certain number of hours.
