Flat-Lining Violence Inspires Peace - Institute for Nonviolence Chicago - Back of the Yards

FLIP offers a first path to change for former drivers of violence. Participants take part in nonviolence and conflict mediation training to prepare them for personal and professional success. After completing training, FLIP Peacekeepers help keep the peace at neighborhood hot spots with which they are familiar. The presence of FLIP Peacekeepers has helped dramatically reduce shootings at these locations.This training program runs for 6 months and provides a stipend of $100 per day.

Training Programs - Center For Conflict Resolution - Main Office

Center For Conflict Resolution (CCR) offers training programs designed to train individuals to serve as mediators through a 40-hour Basic Mediation Skills Training. CCR also offers shorter workshop sessions focused on conflict management, having difficult conversations, giving and receiving feedback, and other customized topics. All CCR trainings offer practical skills-based and interactive elements, and can be offered in-person or on Zoom. CCR offers workshops for the public and for corporations, non-profits, educational institutions, and community groups.

THERAPY/ COUNSELING | RUTLEDGE YOUTH FOUNDATION

Provides individual and family therapy to youth receiving case management services, as well as education, support, and therapy for biological parents and foster parents. Therapy sessions typically take place within foster homes, which allows for better communication with foster parents regarding clients' behaviors and clients' abilities to adjust to living in foster care.
