Cooking Matters connects youth with food by teaching them how to prepare healthy meals on a limited budget. Classes meet for two-hour blocks, once a week for six weeks.

Hyde Park Neighborhood Club offers weekly volunteer-run cooking classes where kids gain confidence and a sense of control that set them up for success as they grow, all while learning to make delicious and wholesome meals. Their curriculum includes specific focus on transferrable life lessons experienced through cooking - things like the importance of patience, perseverance, and teamwork.HPNC aims to make programs accessible to families across all income levels. As such they are able to offer Kids Cooking with Kitchen Possible as a pay-what-you-can program. Registrants may add an optional contribution of $25, $50, or $75 to help cover the costs of this program. No contribution is necessary to register.
This four-week cooking class, taught by an experienced chef from Youthage Culinary Specialist, teaches different cooking techniques, knife safety, and culinary concepts, designed to encourage healthier lifestyle choices.

Provides nutritional services for cancer patients and caregivers. Services provided by Board-Certified Oncology Dietitian and include: - Individual nutrition consultation - Cooking classes - Cancer diet education lectures Also offers Weight Loss for Wellness: - Group that focuses on healthy lifestyle habits following cancer treatment
Offers affordable healthy cooking classes for children ages 4 years and older. Teaches children how to prepare nutritious foods that support a healthy lifestyle. Also offers family cooking classes.
Offers a nine week culinary training course to teach students the skills needed to enter the foodservice workforce. Provides training on food preparation, sanitation, communication skills, and proper use of equipment. Students will receive the ANSI accredited Food Handler Certification at the end of the course.

A House in Austin's My Fresh Table is a four-week cooking course designed to revolutionize the way families approach nutrition, budgeting, and meal preparation. By providing groceries for two meals per class, a personalized recipe binder, and access to an enriching online community, they create a supportive environment that brings together eight families every other week for a unique blend of in-person and virtual sessions. A House In Austin takes on the financial risk, allowing parents to appreciate and incorporate budget-friendly and easy-to-prepare ingredients into their grocery budgets with confidence.
