CCAC provides free home visitation, support groups, and supportive services to income qualifying pregnant women and parents with children from birth to age three living in and around Maywood, Hilside, Westchester, Broadview, and Melrose Park.Families are visited in their home by a parent coach who support parents as their child's first teacher. Parents learn about healthy child development and practice parenting techniques to enhance bonding and family well-being. Pregnant women are provided support and resources as they prepare for the birth of their child.

Together, these incredible groups discuss and process their shared experiences with violence, develop and share coping skills, and identify the strengths they have developed and how they can channel them to benefit their communities. Through a trauma-informed approach, this program fosters a unique supportive relationship between two groups of people that understand each other in ways most could never comprehend.

The Community Outreach Program provides counseling, advocacy, and outreach to survivors of domestic violence. Community Outreach staff facilitate workshops in schools to educate students on the signs and effects of domestic violence. They also teach conflict resolution and healthy relationship-building skills. Community Outreach staff facilitate over ten on-site and community-based support groups weekly for victims of domestic violence. These provide a safe, confidential place for survivors to express their feelings and experiences while receiving the support and empowerment they need to make healthy, secure choices for themselves and their families.

The Engagement Center offers a welcoming community where people living on the streets can grab a cup of coffee, find a safe place to rest, access food and other basic necessities, and, perhaps most importantly, experience the warm embrace of a community that treats them with the respect and dignity that all deserve.
