Recognizing the fact that parents are their children's first and most influential teachers, First Taste is designed to provide support and practical information to parents through home visits, group meetings, and periodic screenings. The program also includes the services of a social worker who helps parents obtain needed services by referring them to proper area agencies. Includes home visits and playgroups for the families.

Hyde Park Neighborhood Club's Tot Lot offers opportunities for children ages birth to 5 years to experience the world outside their home with their caregiver. Hosted in their expansive gym, children can access mats, riding toys, play structures, balls, and open-ended building materials. A separate area allows non-walking children to safely play, explore, and observe.
VOCEL's Child Parent Academy is a free baby and tot play group where parents learn ways to spark learning and discovery while their children make new friends and get ready for preschool.
