Serves the public as the DuPage County Volunteer Center with a focus on giving and volunteering. Searchable online database connects families, students, community groups and businesses with local volunteer opportunities and nonprofits.

Does not provide direct services but offers 2-1-1 Information and Referral line, administers the Sprout Into Reading program and the Community Clothes Closet through our Women United group, and offers a free online volunteer portal, matching community members with nonprofits who have volunteer needs. Also offers support to local Community Volunteers Active in Disaster (COAD).

Red Cross volunteers help people prevent, prepare, and respond to emergencies, assisting with all services including disasters, services to the Armed Forces, blood services, fundraising, administrative, and other duties.
- Developmental Services and Community Integration: Provides skill training, paid work opportunities, community integration and employment to individuals in order to enhance and maintain their independence in community living. The program provides support, assistance and advocacy for individuals with developmental disabilities. - STARS (Structured Therapeutic Adult Recreation Services) Program: Collaboration between AID and Fox Valley Special Recreation Association. Focuses on active community integration, volunteer work and fitness activities for participants. - Autism Program: Emphasis placed on a specialized curriculum that includes communication skills, social and coping skills, functional life skills, community integration, vocational skills and volunteer opportunities. - Vocational Training: Assistance for individuals in obtaining and maintaining job training through subcontracts or community job sites. - Volunteer Sites: Used for the purpose of community integration as well as skill training. Clients learn social skills and an appreciation of giving back to the community as well as enhancing their vocational skills toward community employment. - Food Service: Trains clients in basic food service skills and positive work behaviors, enhances their independence and prepares them for community employment. Food Service also increases life-long learned skills, daily living skills and vocational skills.

Senior Services is in need of volunteers to file BAA Forms for seniors, help in the office, Nursing Home Ombudsman volunteers, Money Management volunteers, and SHIP counseling.

Volunteers may serve in many different capacities throughout DSC: - Fundraisers. - Special Event Committees. - "On-Call" volunteer for special projects. - DSC also supports Internships when available. - There is no length of commitment required for helping with fundraisers, special events, or yard work. - These are available as one-time volunteer opportunities or on an as-available basis.
Offers the following free classes to individual age 16 and older: GED/HSE preparation classes, Online GED/HSE preparation, Reading Readiness, Job Skills, Math Readiness, Healthcare, Manufacturing, ESL (English as a Second Language), and Transition skills classes.
