Regional Health Services of Howard County offers intensive outpatient group counseling program for individuals over the age of 65. Participants meet three times per week on the Regional Health Services of Howard County campus in Cresco. Senior Life Solutions assists older adults in developing life skills that help them cope with the challenges of aging. Program staff include a board-certified psychiatrist, licensed social workers, a registered nurse, and other professionals.
Families First Counseling Services is a community mental health agency offering telemental health or office-based counseling, and behavioral and mental health services. Conjoint, family, and individual counseling settings are offered. Counseling topics include: abuse, adoption/foster care, aging, anger management, bereavement/grief, bullying, caregiver, death and dying, divorce, domestic violence, parenting, relationship, sexual orientation, and suicide issues. Additionally, counseling is offered for people dealing with mental health conditions such as anxiety disorders, Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder / ADD and ADHD, bipolar disorder, chronic/severe mental illness, depression, mood disorders, obsessive compulsive disorder, oppositional/defiant disorder, panic disorders, perinatal/postpartum depression, personality disorders, post-traumatic stress disorder, psychiatric disorders, Reactive Attachment Disorder, schizophrenia, and self-injury. Supportive therapy includes play therapy.

Individual, family, and group services are offered through school-based health centers and within their Youth Center to support youth experiencing a range of issues, including family conflict, substance abuse, peer relationships, identity issues, anger management, and behavioral/emotional challenges. Esperanza Health Centers operate a number of Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) that provide behavioral healthcare including individual therapy and social-emotional groups. Individual therapy is provided 1-2 times per month. Appointments are 30 minutes and are geared toward short-term treatment. Behavioral health counselors do not prescribe medication but conduct a brief assessment and refer to a psychiatrist or primary care provider with recommendations for medication.
