The trained staff helps individuals with referrals to local community programs and services; dementia-related education; crisis assistance; and emotional support. Illinois Mental Health Collaborative for Access and Choice's Warm Line is a phone resource line used by individuals and families who struggle with mental health issues and substance abuse.
Advocates on behalf of and supports individuals and families affected by eating disorders. NEDA campaigns for prevention, improved access to quality treatment, and increased research funding to better understand and treat eating disorders. Works with partners and volunteers to develop programs and tools to help everyone who seeks assistance. The Helpline offers information and support to those struggling with eating disorders and their loved ones. Helpline can also help find treatment options nationwide in the US.
The Cradle's services to expectant parents serve all of Illinois and Indiana, offering free, non-judgmental, and confidential support to people experiencing an unplanned pregnancy or adjusting to life with a newborn. Their experienced counselors provide information, resources, and support to empower people to decide what is best for themselves, their children, and their families. Compassionate counselors help expectant parents and new parents explore all of their options, including adoption, recognizing that everyone's situation is different. In the event that parents choose an adoption plan for their child, their counselor will walk them through the process, including choosing and meeting a family. It doesn't matter how far along you are-it's never too early or too late to reach out. When ready, The Cradle can set up a time for individuals to meet with one of their counselors at a place convenient. Provides wellness and recovery education for mental health and substance use conditions, referrals, and information on community supports.

The Warm Line is not a crisis line; staff work with callers to proactively address aspects of their wellness by identifying triggers:

- Developing action plans (daily and situational).

- Learning what is necessary to maintain wellness.

National Kidney Foundation of Illinois provides a helpline that is staffed by trained specialists who are on hand to offer help and support for patients, family members, and care partners who have been affected by kidney disease, organ donation, or transplantation.
American Brain Tumor Association facilitates a CareLine that provides callers with brain tumor-related information and resources.
The Komen Breast Care Helpline provides information about breast health, breast cancer, local and national resources and information about clinical trials. The Komen breast health offers breast health and breast cancer information, emotional support to anyone with questions or concerns, information about Komen's treatment assistance and patient navigation programs, information about national and local organizations and resources that may provide financial assistance and other support services, including low-cost mammography. Helpline Specialists are available to breast cancer patients, their loved ones, health care providers, support professionals and all others seeking breast health information.

Day rehabilitation programs provide daily living skills, pre-vocational, social skills training, and special activities.

Community support services provide one-to-one assistance in independent living, to maximize community participation and enhance quality of life.

Residential rehabilitation provides a structured skill-building program within a group home setting.

Vocational services provides work-related training, both on and off the job, to assist individuals with mental illness to choose, obtain, and retain employment.

Peer Specialists are trained to assist those newly diagnosed with a mental health issue or are in the midst of recovery and need motivation. Peer Specialists offer insight for dealing with mental illness and how it impacts work, relationships, finances, health, and more. They also connect clients with resources and programs.

Homeless outreach services identify and engage persons who are homeless and have mental illness, and assist them to obtain housing, rehabilitation, case management and connections to other mainstream benefits. Staff meet clients in the community at shelters, hospitals, the jail system, and outside/on the streets as part of the Street Outreach team.

Assertive Community Treatment services provide a clinical team that delivers treatment, rehabilitation, and support services for persons in the community.

Case management services including assistance in applying for entitlements/financial aid, and coordination of services.

Community housing (e.g. apartments) linked with mental health rehabilitation and support services.

Family education services offer education and support to family members affected by mental illness. Individual and family sessions available. Family to Family classes offered every eight weeks.

Psychiatric Outpatient including medication management and counseling coupled with primary health care services. Also includes care coordination and health and wellness services.

Offers routine phone calls to older adults who live alone and are in need of emotional support. Serves as both a warmline for friendly conversation and crisis intervention. Also provides resources for elder suicide prevention and grief services, including: - Virtual grief and bereavement support groups - Specialized support for older adults who have lost a loved one to suicide or sudden death
Offers a free, confidential hotline for teens to discuss their concerns with a peer. Topics include suicide, mental health, relationships, and other teen-related issues. Also offers a text line.
Offers one-on-one peer mentorship support to adults with cancer, and their caregivers. Program matches client with peer mentor who has survived a similar cancer experience. Provides emotional support, information, and effective coping methods.
Illinois Warrior Assistance Program (IWAP) is a Warm Helpline provides confidential assistance for Illinois veterans to help them meet the challenges of their everyday life. IWAP is also available to family members including the spouse and children of eligible veterans.

PROJECT RECOVERY is a mental health program that activates during presidential declared disasters and works to assess the individuals immediate needs by helping them develop solutions to issues or problems that may be presented. This Iowa Department of Human Services program empowers and guides people to resources for ongoing support. The point of entry is through the IOWA CONCERN LINE Service provided are:

TELEPHONE CRISIS COUNSELING & REFERRAL assistance is free statewide.

INDIVIDUAL and GROUP CRISIS COUNSELING to help people access and identify resources that will aid in the recovery process. This includes resources that could aid in the recovery from severe storms and flooding.

EDUCATIONAL SERVICES, on-site supportive, educational, face-to-face interventions with individuals and communities (school, church, etc).

REFERRALS: in some cases, survivors may need long-term, more formal mental health services beyond immediate services. Referrals are made to an appropriate agency or licensed mental health professional or to other specific disaster services available through DHS.
