Provides a free alternative to the Emergency Room when individuals are going through a crisis. “The Living Room” gives individuals in crisis a safe, calm environment to de-escalate from their mental health stressors. When a guest arrives, they are assessed for risk by a clinician to determine if The Living Room is an appropriate level of care. After this, the guest speaks with a Recovery Support Specialist (RSS), who has lived experience with mental health concerns.

Services include a youth shelter for children ages 12-17 who are unhoused, or have run away from home, were kicked out of the home, or couch surfing. Individuals staying on the farm may participate in individual and family counseling, peer support groups, therapeutic recreation with arts, music, and animals. Services also include short-term stabilization for youth individuals ages 10-17 experiencing a mental health crisis for 3-10 days.

The program offers rapid intervention, ensuring that individuals facing severe emotional distress receive timely care in a supportive environment. The Mental Health Crisis Care Program provides Crisis Stabilization Services on a 24-hour basis, 365 days per year. Services are offered on or off-site. If due to limited coverage, or they are unable to assist an individual, the program will connect them with other crisis services within the 988 network.
