United Way is a partnership of volunteers, donors, businesses, faith communities, government and academic institutions and service providers. The partnership provides efficient fund raising and distribution, social service agency certification, collaborative community improvement, community assessment data, technical assistance and capacity building to agencies, data tracking and measured outcomes to evaluate the community's investment in direct services and programs.

The CCRB contracts with local nonprofit agencies who provide mental health and substance use treatment services for children under age 19 who are residents of St. Charles County. The CCRB oversees the administration and distribution of the Children’s Community Services Fund, which is funded through a 1/8 cent sales tax. The CCRB’s 12-month funding cycle begins January 1 and ends on December 31. It operates on a fee-for-service reimbursement model, which differs from foundation grants. Services funded include: - Behavioral & Emotional Health (Educational Advocacy, Equine Therapy, OT, Speech, Parent Support, etc.) - Counseling (Individual, Group, and Family) - Crisis Interventions - Housing & Temporary Shelter - Outpatient Substance Abuse Treatment - Prevention & Education - Psychiatry & Psychological Evaluation - Respite Care

Supports more than 50 charitable agencies and programs that provides health and human services to the residents of Franklin County, Missouri. - Community Grants Program: Community grants available for local agencies and programs to meet health and human care needs. - Community Response for Children Program: Program run through area schools to provide support for children in need with school supplies, prescriptions and basic necessities.
United Way of Winneshiek County raises funds to help meet the funding needs of community organizations and allocates funding to a number of different non-profit agencies. Business contributions accepted.
