Teamwork Englewood's Education & Youth Development program engages youth residents to be valued stakeholders of the community. Youth residents participate in the community all year long and in many different ways. Some fun activities include basketball, dance, and group outings to amusement parks, basketball games, museums, ice skating, and more.
The Pilsen Wellness Center, Inc offers the Adolescent Substance Use Program (ASUP) for adolescents between the ages of 13 and 17 years of age individual substance abuse counseling and case management services. Using a multidisciplinary approach, the program components address extensive drug education, coping skills training, family therapy, and emotional processing skills development. Participants also receive toxicology testing services, aftercare planning, and group counseling therapy. Prevention efforts also include projects involving early intervention and community intervention within local schools, health fairs, etc.

The Chicago Substance Use Prevention Program (CSUPP) is a youth education and prevention initiative that provides drug education workshops and informational seminars to local schools. The program seeks to improve the education and support systems of vulnerable youth to increase their knowledge and resilience to drug and alcohol abuse. Program staff members network with local school administrators to secure school participation in the Illinois Youth Survey, which measures substance use rates, gang membership, and prevalence of violence.

Kenneth Young Center's (KYC) Child & Ado­les­cent Ser­vices team also works with youth in psy­chi­atric cri­sis due to seri­ous emo­tion­al dis­tur­bance. What­ev­er the rea­son, youth who come to Ken­neth Young Cen­ter will receive unbi­ased, pro­fes­sion­al help. KYC strives to reduce inter­nal and exter­nal con­flict and help youth cope with dif­fi­cult sit­u­a­tions and transitions.

Alternatives' youth-led prevention programs were created to address the use and abuse of alcohol and drugs on a local level. High school students work together to inform and educate their peers and community, initiating a dialogue about the risks, attitudes, and behaviors related to alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs.

The DBT Skills Training Clinic helps you learn better ways to regulate and manage emotions by helping families learn to balance change with acceptance, which is especially effective for adolescents - a stage of life when managing emotions can be especially difficult.

Teen Writers Studio (TWS) is a year-long creative writing workshop that connects high school students to fellow writers, including peers and older professionals. It's open to anyone in 7th-12th grade and welcomes youth from all over the city. TWS members meet frequently each month to write together, talk about writing, and produce a literary chapbook each year.
XS Tennis and Education Foundation provides a pre-academy in order to bridge the age gap between youth and adults. This intermediate tennis group meets regularly, specifically for students. This group works to develop foundations of tennis and develop advanced skills.

Concordia Place offers the Teen Leadership Program which provides teens the opportunity to develop the important practical and life skills that drive academic, career, and personal achievement. The program operates after-school during the school year and over the summer as well.
