Polish American Association's (PAA) Immigrant Family Resource Program is a partnership between ICIRR (Illinois Coalition for Immigrants and Refugees Rights), IDHS (Illinois Department of Human Services), and CBO (Community-Based Organizations). The purpose of is program is to inform those in the Polish community with limited English skills about services and eligibility requirements of IDHS programs. PAA offers it's clients:Bi-lingual case counseling services through one-on-one meetings with immigrants and/or immigrant families to determine their needsAssist clients in applying for/accessing appropriate programsMediate with IDHS as needed to insure receipt and maintenance of IDHS-administered benefitsProvide referrals and assistance with accessing other safety net programs for persons not eligible for IDHS-administered benefitsAssist local IDHS offices with interpretation for their Polish-speaking clients
Trained staff help program participants identify and address critical needs and connect to resources to achieve their housing, health care, employment, educational, financial and other goals.

TEACH (Tutoring English to Advance Change) offers free one-on-one English language tutoring for adults to increase their English proficiency needed to become self-reliant, active members of their community.

TEACH (Tutoring English to Advance Change) offers free one-on-one English language tutoring in workplace settings with the mission of achieving wage increases, job satisfaction, a sense of affiliation, and expanded job opportunities. Outcomes would also include personal life dimensions such as an improved capability to assist children with homework, improved ability to communicate successfully in day-to-day situations, and improved quality of life for employees and their families.

TEACH (Tutoring English to Advance Change) collaborates with Pillars' Constance Morris House to provide one-on-one tutoring and cultural mentoring to limited English-speaking survivors of domestic violence trying to transition into independence.
Polish American Association's (PAA) Immigration Services Office is certified by the Immigration Board of Appeals and has been serving the community since 1985. Immigration Services staff provides a range of services enabling clients to adjust their immigration status, become U.S. citizens, complete and file various immigration applications, and keep the community informed about current immigration policies and procedures. PAA and its Immigration Services staff have also been involved in a variety of advocacy efforts related to immigrant rights and issues.

TEACH (Tutoring English to Advance Change) offers a health literacy program that combines culturally-sensitive classroom experience with one-on-one tutoring to focus on each student's unique health issues and those of their families. In addition, native English speakers would be available to accompany learners to health care appointments to ensure that information is communicated in a way and at a language level appropriate to the learner.

Polish American Association (PAA) works to help our low and moderate-income clients find, preserve, and maintain affordable housing and prevent homelessness. They meet these goals by providing bilingual seminars, workshops, and counseling. The program has created an informational system involving public and private agencies.
