Medical Sexual Assualt Advocacy - Northwest Center Against Sexual Assault - Arlington Heights

Northwest Center Against Sexual Assault offers medical advocacy 24 hours a day, 7 days a week at hospital emergency rooms. Whenever a survivor presents at the hospital for treatment, the hospital calls the hotline, and an advocate is sent out to sit with the survivor. The advocate offers emotional support, provides information on sexual violence, and gives any necessary referrals.

Community Engagement - Chicago Alliance Against Sexual Exploitation - Main Office

CAASE provides a platform for survivor healing and aim to create a roadmap for changing how people and systems respond to sexual harm. They commit time, space, energy, and financial resources to listen to survivors so that their experiences and expertise can raise public awareness, shift how society addresses sexual harm, and guide their mission to end it. Advocates can support survivors throughout the legal process, regardless of their decision to report or their participation with law enforcement. They provide you with information about your legal rights and options, including information about relevant Illinois laws.

Medical & Legal Advocacy - YWCA Metropolitan Chicago - South Suburban Center

The YWCA provides 24-hour Medical and Criminal Justice services to survivors of sexual violence. The YWCA Medical and Criminal Justice Program helps to reduce the trauma and help with the healing process. Advocates will provide emotional support and information during the medical and criminal justice procedures to sexual assault survivors, non-offending significant others, and non-offending family members. Medical advocates provide 24-hour support to survivors. Legal advocates provide support through police and court proceedings.
