Elk Grove Township has staff who are trained Salvation Army Service Extension Volunteers. Clients who meet the financial and nonfinancial guidelines may receive up to $200 towards emergency assistance. The client must have a current 5-day notice of eviction or have an active disconnection notice for utility. Those who receive this grant may receive it once per program year. This money can be added to other funds to help make up a larger amount due.

CEDA provides a dedicated telephone line to pre-screen individuals for currently active energy assistance and related services and/or community resources. They also assist with answering any questions about the various programs and with referring individuals to their three closest partner intake sites.
