Discard out-of-date food and do not consume prepared food after seven days.Please put new donations towards the back of the shelves so that food gets eaten in the order it is donated.Please do not donate anything that you would not personally consume.If you noticed or cause a spill, please clean up after yourself whenever possible.

CEDA's LIHEAP programs offer heat and electricity assistance through the DVP and PIPP Programs. DVP (Direct Vendor Payment) issues a one-time benefit applied directly to your utility accounts. Please note, PIPP is not an available option for new customers, only for existing PIPP-enrolled customers. Cash payments are also available to eligible renters who do not have heating bills because their energy costs are included in the rent. Additional benefits for those enrolled in LIHEAP include access to home weatherization services, energy saving kits, and broken ("red-tagged") or otherwise malfunctioning furnace/boiler replacement assistance.On November 1, all income eligible households may apply. The LIHEAP DVP Program will be resuming October 1st to October 31st for the following households and populations:Households with an older adult, age 60 and over;Households with a person living with a disability;Families with children aged 5 and under;Households who are disconnected from one or more of their utilities or in jeopardy of being disconnected from one or both utilities.

Illinois American Water has partnered with Salvation Army agencies to form the H20 Help to Others Program which helps provide supplemental funding to Illinois American Water residential customers who would otherwise have trouble paying their bills. The Salvation Army agencies' trained caseworkers determine the needs of families and individuals. Another benefit of H2O Help to Others is that it often connects customers with other sources of aid in their communities, including other assistance programs for which they might qualify. The Salvation Army may assist an individual/family one time per calendar year with a maximum of $100.00 per individual/ family on a delinquent account.
