TCARE is the first tool of it's kind to assess the needs of the caregiver rather than focus on the care receiver. Through a series of questions, the TCARE assessment tool identifies the specific drivers of the caregiver's distress. With the specific stressors identified, an individualized care plan is created to help the caregiver feel more equipped to manage their role and identity as a caregiver. Interventions such as counseling, support groups and respite are put in place to manage stressors and prevent caregiver burn out.

American Red Cross - The Rauner Center runs the Home Fire Preparedness Campaign, which aims to reduce the number of home fire deaths. The Red Cross is focusing the efforts of its coalition of organizations on installing smoke alarms in homes in some of the most fire-affected neighborhoods around the country. They are working with fire departments and community groups nationwide to canvass neighborhoods with home fire safety information, install smoke alarms and deliver fire prevention information in neighborhoods with high numbers of home fires. Interested individuals can contact the American Red Cross to have a smoke detector installed in their home.

This short-term program provides sexual health and HIV/STI risk reduction education, medical appointment retention, and medication access support to anyone who is eligible at all of the Erie locations. Hepatitis C Services includes medical care, HepC treatment, which can lead to cure of HepC and referrals for specialty care and in-patient care.
