Applicants not eligible for LIHEAP, but within income guidelines can self certify through ComEd Smart Assistance Manager starting January 1st, 2026. Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP): Helps low-income households pay for home-heating costs. This includes natural gas, propane, electric bills, and furnace assistance. Share the Warmth, North Shore Gas customers: Provides heating grants to limited and fixed-income households. Eligible customers can receive grants of up to $200 on their bills. Weatherization: Offers to make homes of low-income families more energy-efficient. Assesses the needs of the home and recommends improvements. Services includes:
