Offers scholarships, amounts are dependent of funding levels, to income eligible individuals who are planning to attend accredited Illinois University, community college, technical or vocational schools. Preference is given to applicants of racial or ethnic minorities.

Offers medical and behavioral services. Includes preventative medical care, acute illness care, injury care and behavioral health counseling.

Elmwood Heights: Residential facility for 67 adult individuals who are physically and developmentally disabled as well as medically fragile. A comfortable homelike atmosphere combining highly specialized services with around the clock medical care. Personalized attention and training is provided to help the individual develop daily living skills.

Provides medical and cash assistance for customers who are 65 years of age or older, blind, or disabled. Also includes the QMB (Qualified Medicare Beneficiary) program which provides payment of Medicare premiums and some Medicare co-payments.

The online application is called "Application for Benefits Eligibility (ABE)."  When applying, the state will determine the applicant's eligibility for this AABD, as well as SNAP and medical assistance (Medicaid).

Out of home placement option for children and adolescents whose special needs hinder their success in a traditional foster care placement.

Offers 30 hours of training, in-service training, professional consultation, 24 hour on call support services, respite services for foster parents, and performance evaluations.

Foster parents are reimbursed for the child's basic needs, with an additional stipend for providing treatment.

Provides assessment and individual and group counseling to those who have been the perpetrators of abuse. The 3 main service components are:

Partner Abuse Intervention counseling for those who have been abusive in current or past intimate partner relationships.

Abuse Intervention counseling for those who have been abusive to other adults who are NOT their intimate partners.

Caring Dads/Nurturing Moms, counseling for parents (biological, step, or common law) who have exposed their children to domestic violence, either as witnesses to the abuse of the other parent, and/or as victims themselves.

Provides free and confidential sexual assault/abuse and crime victim services to anyone that has been sexually assaulted/abused. Off-site/out-of-office services provided include trauma-informed services, counseling/therapy, legal advocacy, medical advocacy, social services and basic needs advocacy/case management, safety planning, 24/7 crisis helplines, and 24/7 crisis intervention at hospitals/law enforcement. Service plans based upon services client wants to receive.

Also provides community trainings in Professional settings and offers Information about Services.

Telehealth is provided for those that need, or would like it.

Serves children and young adults with developmental disabilities in community integrated, 4 person group homes.

Children receive 24-hour support and supervision. Nursing, physical therapy, psychiatric, and behavior management services are also offered. 

Activities for children to participate in include Boy and Girl Scouts, Therapeutic horseback riding, school activities, going to movies, museums, zoos, hopping, and other community activities.

Provides limited bus passes for transportation to and from work, assists with obtaining birth certificates for individuals seeking identification, provides limited gas vouchers, and offers support for other needs on a case-by-case basis.

No-kill shelter.

Temporary shelter may be available for animals when their owner is staying at an area homeless shelter.

Offers a food pantry for individuals and families in need. 

Represents individuals who cannot afford to hire an attorney. Public defenders are appointed by the court to represent individuals in felony, misdemeanor, traffic, child abuse and neglect, child delinquency, post-conviction, and other offenses.

Provides children with a safe environment full of activities while building confidence, self-esteem and character. Kids can participate in indoor and outdoor games and activities such as weekly swimming at Alpine Park Pool, field trips, reading, arts and crafts, and more.

Provides ongoing financial assistance for those who qualify, as General Assistance grants.

Provides rent, rent deposit, and utility assistance for people who are in a homeless situation. Case management services are also available as part of this program.

Offers intensive outpatient programs providing treatment and care for individuals who have issues with substance use. Offers more structure and support than traditional outpatient therapy. Consists of day programs that allow individuals to return home after treatment each day.

Five core services include:

- Information and Referral.

- Independent Living Skills Training.

- Peer Counseling.

- Advocacy.

- Transition Program.

Offers free books to children age 0-5.

Offers a broad range of comprehensive services to older adults, including but not limited to:

- Primary care

- Memory and Cognitive evaluations

- Walking/gait disorders

- Imbalance and falls

- Frailty Assessments

- Medication management

- Care of the homebound patient

Provides services in the office, patient homes, hospitals, rehabilitation units, assisted living facilities, memory care facilities, long-term care facilities, as well as via telehealth visits.
