Provides weatherization services to low income households. Helps conserve fuel and reduce energy costs by making homes and apartments more energy efficient. Also provides many health and safety upgrades.

Services vary, but may include insulation, furnace work, and air sealing.

Helps young people develop knowledge and skills to become productive citizens. Young people in 4-H learn about citizenship, leadership, cooking, arts and crafts, mechanics and technology, horticulture, agriculture, and other subjects. To teach young people about these subjects, the 4-H program uses the learn-by-doing method of instruction.

Provides programs for families involved in the child welfare system or in crisis that need encouragement while they change their lives. Services include advocacy, mentoring, mediation, alternative counseling, workshops, outreach and 3rd party visits. Also provides group sessions and trainings.

Offers daytime homeless services including, use of shower, laundry, provision of clothing (if available), and case management.

Also acts as a warming center during general intake hours.

Offers diabetes screening, drug and alcohol testing, TB testing (except Thu), urine pregnancy tests, physicals for school, sports, well child, adult, pre-employment. lead poisoning screening, dental care, blood pressure screening and immunizations.

Works in partnership with families to build decent, affordable homes. Homes are built with donated or discounted materials and services and then sold at no profit to partner families.

Habitat carries a 0% interest mortgage on the home for a period of 15-20 years until the partner family owns their home free and clear.

Builds only one home per year. The application process for each home opens in May of each year for the following year.

Provides the following services

- Free on-site pregnancy testing.

• On-site limited obstetrical ultrasound services.
• STI/ STD testing.
• Parenting education (HOPE program).
• Support to pregnant woman whose unborn baby has been diagnosed with an adverse or terminal condition and wish to carry to term (Willow Story program).

Provides emergency financial assistance for rent, utilities, mortgage, and life-saving prescription medications to those that meet income guidelines. Might be able to assist with gasoline, call for information. 

Offers daily hot meals for older adults. Meal delivery available for individuals who are homebound.

Provides training, support, and supervises community volunteers to advocate for abused and neglected children in the Franklin County Juvenile Abuse and Neglect Court. A visitation center is also available for children to have a safe, secure place to visit their parents, siblings, and relatives.

Provides general medical care for veterans and their families. Services include checkups, prevention, diagnosis, treatment of diseases, immunizations and vaccinations, labs and blood work.

Provides comprehensive services including, shelter, legal advocacy, crisis counseling, safety and escape planning, support groups as available, and other needs as they arise.

Provides mental health and psychiatry services to those in need. Services include counseling, medication management, and mental health case management.

Provides police and dispatch services for emergency assessments and responses. 

Offers to help children in grades 4-12 develop knowledge and skills. Offers client and family support services for individuals diagnosed with seizures, their families, and the community at large. Resource facilitators provide:

- Information and referral.

- Comprehensive case management.

- Advocacy.

- Counseling.

- Financial planning assistance.

- Support groups.

- Medical liaison.

- Community education.

City government departments and other information about the town of Channahon, IL.

Offers before and after school programs. Offering age appropriate activities. 

Also offers extended day programs during selected holidays, scheduled school closings and possibly some emergency closure days. Children do not need to be enrolled in the program year-round to participate in no school days; however, specific DCFS paperwork, including emergency contact information will be required.
