Serves as a primary care medical home specializing in sexual health and wellness. Services include:

For those infected with HIV/AIDS, Open Door Health Center provides the following services:

Provides students with back-to-school supplies and clothing.  Held on Sat, Aug 8, from 8 am-2 pm.

- Registration is required for all students. Students must be registered in advance; walk-ins will not be accepted.

- For students attending Crawford County public schools only.

- A reminder letter and appointment card will be mailed. Registrants must bring the appointment card with their student on the day of the event.

- Parents/guardians will not be allowed to shop with their students. (No exceptions.)

- Includes a Resource Fair, where several local programs and organizations will be available to share information about services and resources that may benefit families.

- Clothing and shoes available; registrants must provide the correct clothing and shoe sizes for their student. Exchanges will be made only if the clothing or shoes do not fit properly.

- Haircuts and Dental Exams: Details not available at this time.

Provides the following services

Offers an 8-hour course that teaches how to identify, understand, and respond to signs of mental illnesses and substance use disorders. The training provides the skills needed to reach out and provide initial help and support to someone who may be developing and mental health or substance use problem or experiencing a crisis.

Also offers a course designed to teach parents, family members, caregivers, teachers, school staff, peers, neighbors, health and human services workers, and other caring citizens how to help an adolescent (age 12-18) who is experiencing a mental health or addictions challenge or is in crisis. Topics include depression, anxiety, and eating disorders.

Provides financial assistance for residents with little or no income through the General Assistance program, including assistance for rent and utilities, food, and personal/household items.

Offers subsidized housing available to low-income families, individuals with disabilities, and older adults.

Answers general questions and provides general information pertaining to First Amendment law but cannot provide legal advice specific to a particular situation until the Clinic agrees to take on the case.

The decision whether to take on a particular case depends on a number of factors, including whether the issue(s) at stake involve a First Amendment right falling within the scope of the Clinic’s mission.

Consideration will also be given to the experiential opportunities that a case would provide to Clinic students. Other factors include the capacity of the Clinic at a given time to take on new cases, and the current priorities of the Clinic.

Provides the community with acute inpatient care, skilled nursing care and a special care unit. Inpatient, outpatient and same day surgery care available.

Provides inpatient mental health care. Units include Pediatrics (5-17), Adolescent (12-17), Adult (18+) and Geriatrics (65+). Treatment includes case management, group therapy, individual therapy as needed, and medication management with a Psychiatrist.

Provides a wide range of hands-on vocational training opportunities for individuals with developmental disabilities. Services of training include assembly, packaging, quality control and labeling.

Offers a Christmas toy program for children ages 0-17. Pre-registration is required, visit website on November 12-December 2nd to sign up, first come first serve. Registering is not a promise of service until confirmation and further instructions are given. Calls may begin as soon as one week after the beginning of registration. Gifts will be given on Saturday, December 6th, 2025, at 11 am-3 pm. 

Works with disabled individuals to find employment by assisting them with job readiness skills, benefits counseling, job development, and case management. The program works with local business, as well as state and federal agencies, to ensure that the services are all encompassing.

Provides home delivered meals to seniors who qualify. When individuals call, an assessment will be set up to determine eligibility of the senior. If the senior has diabetes, let the intake specialist know so an appropriate meal can be provided. Sample menus can be sent out to individuals who are looking into signing up for the program.

Maintains a website of free information on programs that help people who can't afford medications and healthcare costs, with data on over 9,000 assistance programs, 15,000 free/low-cost/sliding scale clinics, and nearly 1,500 drug discount coupons. Publishes information about resources for specific diseases.

Provides free income tax return preparation for taxpayers earning up to $67,000 annually. Helps working families take advantage of all eligible tax credits, including the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC), Child Tax Credit (CTC) and education credits. Volunteers from the community help prepare basic, current-year tax returns for eligible taxpayers.

Tax preparation is offered primarily in-person by appointment, with an option for walk-in services at the Martin Luther King Community Center (Rock Island).

Walk-in services at the MLK Center are available from February 3rd, 2026, through April 4th (appointments cannot be made for this location). Hours are Tue-Thu 5 pm-8 pm, Sat 9 am-12 pm.

Provides a supplemental food pantry to eligible individuals and families facing food insecurity. Food baskets are based on family size and can be received every 30 days. This pantry participates in the Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP) and is open to all eligible Illinois residents. TEFAP is an equal opportunity provider.

Pantry hours, and the number of clients served can change based on food supply.
