Offers vaccines and information for individuals in need to answer questions, or misinformation about certain vaccines. Services include flu vaccines, COVID-19 vaccines, and other vaccines may be offered under this program.
Provides free income tax return preparation for taxpayers earning up to $67,000 annually. Helps working families take advantage of all eligible tax credits, including the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC), Child Tax Credit (CTC) and education credits. Volunteers from the community help prepare basic, current-year tax returns for eligible taxpayers.
Tax preparation is offered primarily in-person by appointment, with an option for walk-in services at the Martin Luther King Community Center (Rock Island).

Walk-in services at the MLK Center are available from February 3rd, 2026, through April 4th (appointments cannot be made for this location). Hours are Tue-Thu 5 pm-8 pm, Sat 9 am-12 pm.

Provides therapists and medical providers offering mental and behavioral health services to children, teens, and adults. Therapists work one-on-one with clients to evaluate and address issues such as depression, addiction, generalized anxiety disorder, or other behavioral disorders through counseling sessions. Nurse practitioners and psychiatrists can prescribe and monitor medications and provide therapy.
Offers emergency, overnight shelter to men experiencing homelessness. Facility has 22 bunk beds, showers, laundry service, meals, and chapel services.
Provides a nutrition and wellness program that offers information and guidance on canning, freezing, and drying food for preservation, healthy foods webinar series, feeding baby - from cradle to table, and the Food Service Sanitation Managers Certification.
Provides pre-purchase home buyer classes and counseling help clients decide whether homeownership is the best decision for them. These classes and counseling may also qualify clients for substantial down payment assistance programs.
Foreclosure avoidance and default intervention counseling is designed to help with whatever options there may be to save clients' homes, or get caught up on payments.
Reverse Mortgage Counseling is available for seniors desiring to stay in their homes by using their equity to produce lump sums for current needs, annuity payments and lines of credit for ongoing needs.
RSVP volunteers serve in a diverse range of nonprofit organizations, public agencies, and faith-based groups. Volunteers perform a variety of valuable services such as mentor at-risk youth, organize neighborhood watch programs, teach English to immigrants, and lend their business skills to community groups to provide critical social services.
