Several DFSS Community Service Center serve as a Coordinated Entry System Access Point. Access Points provide Coordinated Entry Assessments and updates on a walk-in basis. The Coordinated Entry System (CES) connects people who are experiencing homelessness to housing opportunities in Chicago. The CES uses a standardized housing assessment to understand the needs of households and refer youth, individuals, and families to housing. The assessment is available to all eligible persons regardless of race, color, national origin, religion, sex, age, familial status, disability, actual or perceived sexual orientation, gender identity, or marital status. Please note that it is not required to be a city of Chicago resident to access this CES, but that only Chicago-based housing opportunities can be provided. For individuals seeking suburban Cook County-based housing opportunities, please reach out to Entry Point's Suburban Cook Call Center instead.

Illinois Department of Human Services (IDHS) administers the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) which helps low-income people and families buy the food they need for good health. Benefits are provided on the Illinois Link Card, an Electronic Benefits Transfer (EBT) card that is accepted at most grocery stores.Additionally, IDHS offers the SNAP Employment & Training Job Placement program for those not exempt from SNAP work requirements such as Able-Bodied Adults Without Dependents (ABAWD). Work eligible SNAP recipients can obtain intensive case management, education such as reading and writing and math instruction or enrollment in GED or ESL classes, job skills training like computer literacy, pre-employment services like career mentoring, and unsubsidized job placement with retention services.

Angel of God Resource Center, Inc. (AOGRC) Training Observation Practice Program (Automotive Mechanics) is a 48-week program that offers 1,200 clock hours. The Program is accelerated by the Illinois State Board of Higher Education and will train and prepare the students to become ASE Certified. Training Observation Practice Program (T.O.P.) is an approved WIOA program geared towards students who are interested in gaining an Automotive Service Excellence Certificate (ASE), which is recognized by the automotive industry. The T.O.P. program has three categories a student will learn about: 'Under the Hood' (A1-A9) or the 'Auto Maintenance and Light Repair' (G1). This training provides a condensed overview of the courses provided, followed by 'Collision' (B1-B5).
