The riders may ride within Kane County for 3 round trip rides per week or 6 one ways. The program includes services such as financial assistance for abandoned well closures and on-site wastewater systems. Additionally, it ensures compliance with laws that mandate minimum standards for home sanitation, maintenance, occupancy, lighting, ventilation, and safety. Health inspectors conduct evaluations to verify the availability of hot and cold water, proper functioning of toilets and sewage disposal systems, structural integrity of roofs and walls, safe repair of interior features, and the absence of pests or rubbish. Citations are issued to landlords who fail to meet these requirements.

Operated by PACE Bus and coordinates efforts of six townships to provide transportation service to older residents and also residents with a disability.

Offers a crisis line for families and survivors of sexual abuse, domestic abuse or any other violent crime. A specially trained advocate will answer the crisis line and assist in any matter pertaining to sexual abuse, domestic abuse, or any other violent crime by listening and providing information, support and referrals. The crisis line is staffed 24 hours a day year-round.

Provides emotional support, individual counseling, support groups and therapy. Offers support and information for significant others, legal advocacy, medical advocacy, children’s individual and group counseling, sheltering and housing services, along with general advocacy to help all community systems enhance their response to domestic abuse, sexual abuse or any other violent crime victims.

- Prosecutes all felony, misdemeanor and traffic crimes committed in Douglas County.

- Advises and represents the County Board and the elected and appointed officials of Douglas County.

- Assists those petitioning for Orders of Protection.

- Goes to court to collect unpaid child support.

Provide support to breastfeeding mothers. Peers help moms improve their breastfeeding experience. Works with moms outside normal working hours through various communication and social media options.

Offers behavioral health services for adults, including: individual, marital, family, and group therapy, psychiatric evaluation, anger management, and case management.

24/7 Crisis intervention for at-risk, run-away, abused, neglected, and homeless youth ages 11-17. The goal is to divert youth from the juvenile justice and/or child welfare systems.

Follow-up counseling provided to stabilize youth and families.

Assists with short-term and long-term placements if family reunification is not immediately possible.

Offers children to participate in various activities and staged play to explore with a balance of language, sensory, fine and gross motor, art, math, music, cognitive and social-emotional concepts.

Patients in need of help paying for a prescription can obtain assistance through a voucher.

Offers scholarships, amounts are dependent of funding levels, to income eligible individuals in Edwards, Gallatin, Hamilton, Saline, Wabash, Wayne or White County, who are planning to attend accredited Illinois University, community college, technical or vocational schools. Preference is given to applicants of racial or ethnic minorities.

Offers new and gently used furniture, appliances, home goods, and building materials at discounted prices. Proceeds are used to build and repair homes in the local community. Donations of used items are welcome from any source and are tax-deductible.
