North Acres located at 108th and Fort Street accommodates 36 elderly and 4 units for persons with disabilities.

Scattered site housing (3-4 bedroom homes) for qualified low-income families.

Woodgate fully accessible town homes for elderly and disabled with attached van accessible garage.

Bennington elderly housing development, 24 units and 2 for persons with disabilities.

River Road located in Waterloo, offer two bedroom apartments with attached garage for disabled and those over 55 years of age and older. These townhomes include internet access and some paid utilities.

Valley Crown located in Valley, NE, 12 houses, all of which are 3 bedroom units with a one car attached garage. Four of the units are designed and built for handicap persons and the units meet the UFAS requirements for accessibility.

Gretna Crown located in Gretna, NE, 15 single family houses, all of which are 4 bedroom ranches with attached two car garages. Two of the units are designed and built for handicap persons, and the units meet the UFAS requirements for accessibility.

Affordable housing for households at or below 80% of AMI.

Properties are located in Oregon, Polo, and Forreston. Rent is based on 30% of the applicants income with a minimum rent of $50 per month. There are also established ceiling rents, so depending on the size of the apartment, the rent will not go over a certain amount.

-- Housing Choice Voucher Program: For this program, participants seek housing in the private rental market. Tenants pay 30% of the rent which is based on their income and the housing authority pays the balance due to the landlord. There is currently an open waiting list for Section 8 vouchers.

Offers Section 8 Housing, providing assistance for low-income families in the private rental market through a Housing Assistance Payments (HAP) contract. Voucher holders select a unit from the private rental market within Macon County. Program participants normally pay no more than 30% of their gross income for rent. The Authority subsidizes the balance of the rent to the landlord. DHA administers approximately 1,240 vouchers.

The Section 8 Rental Certificate Program provides Housing and Urban Development funds to cover some of the cost of rent for eligible individuals and families. Under the program the participant(s) pay 30% of their income toward rent and the Section 8 funds will cover the additional monthly cost.
