Provides education and information to homeowners who need to hire a contractor and/or have a home improvement projects to reduce fraud and being taken advantage of. Also, provides information to homeowners who have been victimized by a contractor or have any questions regarding anything to do with a home improvement or home repair project.
Ensures employer compliance with wage and hour law (minimum wage and overtime), child labor, wage garnishment, Polygraph Protection and Family Medical Leave Act.
A Social Security number is important because you may need one to file taxes, start a job, open a bank account, apply for a loan, get a passport, or claim government benefits. Must apply in person if 12 years of age or older and have never received a Social Security number. The Social Security Adminsitration (SSA) can assist individuals with the following: - Replacing a Social Security card if it has been lost, stolen, or damaged. - Requesting a Social Security number. - Reporting a stolen Social Security number to the Federal Trade Commission if a victim of identity theft. - Reporting if personal information on Social Sercurity record is incorrect or has changed.
Maintains birth and dearth records for residents who were born or passed away in Franklin and Williamson counties. Birth and death certificates are only kept for 10 years from the date of birth/death. Provides the following services: - Certified copies of birth certificates. - Certified copies of death certificates. - Burial permits.

Assists individuals in Illinois in becoming licensed foster parents. Also provides follow-up training for foster parents to help meet the various needs of their foster children. Services provided: - LCFS team provides guidance and support through the foster care experience. - Health insurance for the children placed in a foster home. - Therapy, counseling, and academic counseling, and special education services when needed. - Training programs, support groups, and newsletters geared to foster families. - Monthly financial support for the foster child(ren's) basic needs, including food, clothing, and housing costs. - Funding for daycare, after-school care, and extracurricular activities including sports and art programs for eligible children in foster care.
Regulates interstate and international communications by radio, television, wire, satellite and cable.

Vital Birth Records are available for anyone born in Henry County from 1971 to the present.

Vital Death Records are available for anyone who has died in Henry County from 1971 to the present.

Records are available in-person at the Kewanee Office.

Provides circuit court services to Alexander, Jackson, Johnson, Massac, Pope, Pulaski, Saline, Union, and Williamson Counties. The Circuit Clerk can help individuals find court dates, court records (copies are available for a nominal fee) and can assist with court fines. Documents are not available to view online due to the Administrative Office of Illinois Courts policy on electronic access.
