Provides backpacks filled with school supplies to children grades K-12 who did not receive one from the back to school event.Partnering with Grace Life Chapel this year for the Back to School Fair. This will be held on August 9th at the Hillsboro Junior High School.
The Nodaway County Back-to-School Fair: Thursday, August 7 from 12-2 at The Hangar, 1602 S Main St. Maryville. Attendance last year: 200 kids from 82 families You must register with the Nodaway County Director and be a Community Services, Inc. client to attend.
Gentry & Worth Counties Joint Back-to-School Fair: Back to school fair for income qualified students grades K-12. Students are provided with a backpack, school supplies and hygiene products and more. The Gentry/Worth Counties Back to School Fair is scheduled for Wednesday, August 12 from 1-2:30 at Hudley Whaley, 1109 S. Birch St. Albany. Attendance last year: 78 kids from 32 families Must register with the Gentry or Worth County Director and be a client of Community Services, Inc. to attend.
School supply Atchison & Holt Counties Joint Back-to-School Fair. The Atchison County Back to School Fair is July 30th, 2025 . Must register with the Atchison County Director, and you must be a client of Community Services, Inc. & be located in Atchison County, MO.to attend. Locatation : Tarkio Community Building 603 S 3rd
Back-To-School Fair: Providing backpacks and school supplies to school aged children. Each year, Cross Keys Baptist Church partners with local churches, community organizations, and school districts to host a dynamic and family-focused Back-to-School Bash. This free event is designed to equip and encourage students and their families as they prepare for a successful school year.

School Supplies

Provides free school supplies and book bags in the fall for income eligible students Pre-K through high school in Brown, Pike and Schuyler counties. In some cases fees for extra curricular activities may be covered for income eligible junior and senior high school students.

Contact your local Two Rivers Regional Council office to schedule an appointment for school supplies in July.

Offers Back to School Supplies to low income children in each of the 7 counties it serves.
Provides free school supplies and books to eligible low-income families with children of school age.
Palatine Township provides free school supplies to resident families experiencing financial hardship.

Free school supplies and backpacks are available to children in need via the Ramblin' Rose bus, and at the regular Effingham location. The bus travels to towns in the seven-county area to provide the supplies.

School clothing is also available from the bus, or families may choose to receive a voucher and shop for their clothing at Second Hand Rose Resale Shoppe in the Effingham Catholic Charities location.

One-day book bag giveaway event, held on Saturday, August 10th, 2024. Hours are 12 pm-5 pm.


Held at YouTurn campus (4344 North 34th Avenue) and Skinner Magnet (4304 North 33rd Street).


2,500 free book bags will be given away to K-12 students; no documentation is needed.


Other family activities are offered at the event.

Collaborates with the public school system and parents to encourage student academic achievement and create cultural awareness within the community. Generally, funds are utilized to pay for the Coordinator's services, purchase basic school supplies, supplement parent-cost items, and to cover costs for the year-end banquet recognizing seniors and the achievements of all K-12 students in the area. The program is open to all Native American students who are residents of Madison County and can provide proof of enrollment with a tribe.

Rides of Love Ministry offers rides to medical and mental health appointments.

Heart of Christmas Program provides Christmas needs in early December.

For Christmas 2024:

Heart of Christmas is Sat, Dec 7th, from 10 am-11 am, held at the Faith Church in Rock Valley, IA. Provides a Christmas store for children ages 3-11, and parents pay $5 per child to choose and wrap a gift. The store closes at 10:30 am, so parents must arrive before that time.

This also qualifies parents to receive a holiday meal kit, and families who had flood damage to their homes can receive a 4-foot lighted Christmas tree. Children enter the Christmas Carnival area with a variety of games and decorate Christmas cookies. There is an interactive retelling of the Christmas story.

Parents must register by Nov 22. Register online at www.loveincsiouxcounty.org or call (712) 476-5990. No registration needed for Christmas Carnival. (All children must be accompanied by an adult at the event.)

Provides a backpack and a set of school supplies for children living in Madison county or going to a Madison county School. These supplies are tailored to the child's specific grade requirements.

Provides school supplies and pays school fees for children in preschool through 12th grade.

The program services the following schools: Hiawatha, Everest and Horton Schools in Brown County, KS, Highland, Riverside and Troy Schools in Doniphan County, KS, Falls City and Humbolt Schools in Richardson County, NE and Craig, Mound City and South Holt Schools in Holt County, MO.

Offers a Back to School Giveaway each August. The program provides free school supplies and backpacks to the K-12 students of the Ankeny Community School District and those who attend school in Ankeny.
