First Steps: A childbirth and parenting class program that provides information, life skills and material assistance applicable to childbirth and parenting. Classes include teaching, instruction, visual aids, and demonstrations.
Missouri Family Health Council is a private, nonprofit organization dedicated to making reproductive health care and education available and accessible to all, with particular concern for disadvantaged and under-served groups. MFHC administers several family planning related programs throughout Missouri.
Prepared Childbirth Class: Expectant parents learn about labor and delivery and decrease anxiety over the process. Topics include signs of labor, what to expect during labor and delivery, breathing and relaxation techniques, variations of labor and delivery and more.
