Provides emergency financial assistance to residents who are in need, including: - Rental and utility assistance - Employed clients who have transportation issues Residents can receive assistance up to three times. Each time must be 18 months apart. - First time applicants qualify for up to $400 of assistance - Second time applicants qualify for up to $250 of assistance - Third (and last) time applicants qualify for up to $150 of assistance Applicants are required to participate in a financial session before receiving funds. Township boundaries do not follow municipal or zip code boundaries. They are able to provide assistance in connecting to needed community programs and services. In addition, base on funding and donations, the office can support a crisis fund which allows them to provide assistance with rent, medical and prescription expenses, gas money, utilities, and other basic necessities when the household is facing an emergency situation. The agency actively seeks funds for the crisis program and all funds donated to a county stay in that county and are used to support the residents of that county.

The Labor Department provides various types of support to local Labor Unions. Those currently paying dues to a union may be eligible for temporary financial assistance if they are in financial crisis.
Lemont Township Emergency Assistance is financial aid granted to qualified individuals and families on a short-term basis to alleviate life-threatening circumstances or to assist residents in returning to self-sufficiency. If an individual or family is eligible, they may receive assistance once in an 18-month period to meet basic expenses.

Offers financial assistance to help undocumented-led families buy food and cover urgent medical expenses. *Emergency funds for food or medicine. This will not cover rental expenses* "open doors" in spanish
Financial assistance for victim/survivor of domestic violence, stalking, sexual abuse, and/or human trafficking. Survivors may apply for funding for a particular cost, such as a car repair bill, a plane ticket to get back home to safety, a service animal fee, a security deposit, or a utility bill.

Stickney Township Emergency Assistance provides financial aid to help alleviate a life-threatening circumstance. A life-threatening circumstance is a condition that poses an imminent peril to health and or safety because of a lack of or the jeopardizing of the availability of shelter, food, or utility service. The requirements are the same as general assistance, and individuals may receive Emergency Assistance even though they have applied for and been approved to receive monthly welfare assistance (such as Temporary Assistance to Needy Families (TANF) or Supplemental Security Income (SSI) as long as they have not yet begun to receive monthly payments of such assistance. However, if they have already begun receiving monthly payments of cash welfare assistance they cannot receive Emergency Assistance.
