Temporary relief for the primary caregivers if persons with intellectual or developmental disabilities.
This program is designed to offer an array of community support services such as respite, therapy services, day training programs, transportation, and nursing services through the coordination by EFGSI's HBS team leader. The program is open for adults and children in the community.
Provides adult daycare services. Services include: - Door-to-door pick-up and drop-off service via the Xilin Association's vehicle team. - Culturally appropriate meals and snacks provided daily. - Diverse community of participants. - Assigned a nurse to check participant's vital signs, medication, and chronic illness monitoring on a regular basis. - Various live enrichment activities. - Professional mental health team that provides regular workshops and small group discussions. - Case management.
Provides temporary and/or periodic relief for a caregiver of an impaired person. The program is designed to assist caregivers in the home and allow the client to remain in his/her home for an extended period of time. Short-term nursing facility stays are also available. The program is funded through the East Central Illinois Area Agency on Aging. Services include: - Household help. - Companion. - Temporary nursing home stay. - Adult day care. - Home health care.
Parents’ Night Out is a respite program for families living in Macon County. While parents enjoy a “parents’ night out,” children get the opportunity to participate in social interaction, crafts, games, creative play, and guest performers. Parents’ Night Out also explores the community through field trips, such as the zoo, museum, parks, bowling, and going to the movies. There are three session per month – one on Friday evening, one on Saturday afternoon and one on Saturday evening.
In-home and emergency respite services for families/caregivers. The Emergency Respite Care Program offers funding and resources to support caregivers of children and adults with special needs who are not receiving any respite services and have an urgent need for respite care in the absence of any other funding source.
Caregiver services are available to informal or family caregivers of persons over the age of 60 or to grandparents raising grandchildren. Services can include respite care (services that give caregivers a rest), home modification, assistive devices, transportation, and financial assistance.

Provides valuable resources for relatives age 55 and older who are raising children 18 and under or with severe disabilities. The program includes: - Caregiver resource centers to assess clients' situations and help connect them to programs for assistance. - Legal services to help assume care of the children. - Respite services. - Caregiver counseling centers. - Training and education for "how-to" caregiving and skills. - Support groups to share experiences.

Provides comprehensive care, as well as comfortable accommodations and stimulating social and recreational opportunities. Short Term Care: Designed for patients recovering from surgery, injury, or serious illness. Provides specialized therapies, customized treatment plans, and therapists to help clients improve and strengthen mobility. Acute Care: Provides comprehensive medical care to help residents stabilize and recover from serious illness or injury.
