Adaptive recreation for youth and adults with special needs.
Memorial Park District provides a variety of special recreation programming.

Provides employment, training on using smart phones and computers and other technology for anyone who can't see a screen clearly, orientation and mobility services, recreational and cultural programs (including audio description services) adapted for people with limited or no vision.

Provides education to staff and coaches on how to include kids with disabilities in community recreation programs.
Provides a variety of recreational and social programs for individuals with disabilities. Programs help participants develop social and life skills, as well as eye-hand coordination, balance, fine and gross motor skills and sensory processing.
Gateway SRA offers power lifting, fitness training and more for individuals with developmental disabilities and an adapted sports program for individuals with physical disabilities, including Special Olympics.
Recreation programs for people 18 years of age with a disability and appropriate social skills, including monthly activities, and summer programming.
Promotes a variety of youth social and physical programs. Also offers senior exercise classes and sports activities for people with a physical or mental disability.

Hanover Park Park District's PURSUIT program is a collaboration with Clearbrook and NWSRA and is designed to meet the needs of individuals with disabilities 21 years and older throughout the year through four core elements: Recreation & Leisure, Skills & Self Advocacy, Community Integration, and Health & Wellness. PURSUIT is certified by the Department of Human Services, Division of Developmental Disabilities.
Year-round adaptive and athletics activities for individuals with a disability, including Athletic Programs, Special Olympic Programs or Adapted Athletics. Limited scholarships available for individuals residing in 9 member park districts.
SEASPAR offers Special Olympics training for individuals with developmental disabilities and an adapted sports program for individuals with physical disabilities.

Promotes a variety of social and sports programs for youth and adults. Also offers activities such as: - Low impact exercise classes for seniors - Youth camps - Sports activities for people with physical or mental disabilities
Advocates for the rights of citizens with developmental disabilities and their families.

Parents for Parents program provides on to one support to families of children with developmental disabilities by sharing information on disability and community resources; call for meeting times.

Recreational activities for children with disabilities such as a summer camp and Pals 'n Play, a play therapy program for ages 5-21 with an intellectual or developmental disability.

People First helps adults with disabilities learn how to speak out and have confidence to see themselves as People First -- their disabilities second; call for meeting times.

Project Guardian Angel is a special project in partnership with the Columbus Police Department to ensure the safety of I/DD individuals in the community through a database housed at the police station.
