Youth Organizing - Brighton Park Neighborhood Council - Main Office

Brighton Park Neighborhood Council (BPNC) believes in empowering youth to be leaders and organizers within their schools and their communities. BPNC engages youth in issue campaigns at the school, city, state and national level through clubs at 10 middle and high schools on the Southwest side. Clubs include DREAMERS & Allies, Student Voice Committees, and Youth Leadership Councils.

BUILD Prevention - Austin Headquarters

BUILD helps young people beat the odds by offering year-round after-school and out-of-school programs starting as early as first grade. The Prevention staff get to know the youth and collaborate across BUILD to offer academic assistance, sports, STEM, arts enrichment, and more. They provide leadership development to help children stay safe, healthy, and focused on their futures.

Youth Leadership Council - Brighton Park Neighborhood Council - Main Office

The Youth Leadership Council is a group of youth leaders from neighborhood schools in Brighton Park and surrounding neighborhoods who are in 6th, 7th, and 8th grade. Youth leaders are trained on violence prevention, educational justice, immigrant rights and organizing. They meet weekly to help organize the Annual BPNC Youth Summit and to make a change in their community through awareness and Intervention.

Youth Summit - Brighton Park Neighborhood Council - Main Office

Brighton Park Neighborhood Council partners with neighborhood schools leading a Youth Leadership Club for middle schoolers. 450 middle school students attend the youth summit where they attend workshops on bullying prevention, gang violence prevention, domestic violence prevention, etc.

YOUTH LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM (YLDP) | COMPASS FOR KIDS

Provides middle and high school alumni of Club Compass the opportunity to develop as leaders, and be prepared for college, vocational / trade school, the military, and/or to enter the workforce. The ultimate goal is for these youths to graduate from high school and be ready to achieve their dreams.
