Provides various employment services to individuals with disabilities. Employment services include career counseling, resume and cover letter development, assistance with finding job leads, interview practice, assistance with securing public or private transportation, job coaching, and assistance with identifying possible job accommodations.

Provides support, empowerment, and recovery to survivors of sexual violence (and the people that love them). Counselors assist in the process of recognizing how sexual violence has impacted the survivor's feelings, relationships, self-esteem, and ability to function while working with them to find healing.

Survivors may choose to receive individual, family, couple, and/or group counseling. In addition, support groups are offered to adult survivors of childhood sexual abuse, teens, and parents.

Offers to match the caller’s legal problem with available resources, such as advice, extended representation, or referral. For most low-income applicants. Callers are screened for eligibility, and a determination is made whether eligible callers have a legal problem that falls within the priorities. If the caller’s legal problem is eligible for review for extended services, the caller is referred to one of our five regional offices. If the callers are not eligible for referral to a regional office, attorneys provide the caller with immediate advice or quick access to other information and resources.

Offers to help children in grades 4-12 develop knowledge and skills. Services include learning about citizenship, leadership, cooking, arts and crafts, mechanics and technology, horticulture, agriculture, and other subjects. To teach young people about these subjects, the 4-H program uses the learn-by-doing method of instruction.

Domestic violence agency and shelter that serves survivors of domestic abuse and their children. Provides 24/7 services to adults, teens, and children.

Services include:

- Long term residential placement for youth 10-18 years of age. Outpatient substance abuse treatment and therapy services are available for youth placed in the long-term residential program.

- Behavioral health services for youth 5-18 years of age depending on the program or service.

- Volunteer mentoring program for 3rd through 12th graders, in math or reading skills.

- Family preservation services in Iowa and Nebraska.

- Educational programs for professionals working with youth.

Offers limited emergency assistance for, rent (last $100), utilities (last $75), diapers, other basic needs (such as hygiene products) for individuals and families who are experiencing economic hardship, assistance based on an immediate precipitating event, refers callers to appropriate community agencies that may be able to assist.

Offers comprehensive health services to area children, including:

- Periodic "head to toe" well-child exams for children from birth to 18 years of age

- Hemoglobin tests

- Blood lead screenings

- Immunizations

- TB Waiver if needed

- Developmental screenings

- Physical exams, including school physicals and sports physicals

- Counseling and referral

Clinics are held in Kewanee at the Health Department office.

Offers individual computer assistance available to teach basic and advanced skills.

Raises and distributes funds to support education, financial stability, health, and basic needs in the community.

- Prosecutes all felony, misdemeanor and traffic crimes committed in Hamilton County.

- Advises and represents the County Board and the elected and appointed officials of Hamilton County.

- Assists those petitioning for Orders of Protection.

- Goes to court to collect unpaid child support.

Offers a food pantry for Hoopeston residents, may visit once a month. 

Provides support services to individuals with epilepsy. Services include case coordination, advocacy services, medication assistance, special care, education outreach, and seizure response training.

Offers "Norman Services" to support families with children at risk of being placed in DCFS care or unable to return home due to unmet basic needs such as food, shelter, clothing, or other essential items. These services aim to prevent child removal or facilitate reunification by addressing critical living circumstances.

Eligible families may receive assistance through Public Aid/TANF and other cash grants, the Housing Advocacy Program (HAP) to secure permanent housing, and the Emergency Cash Assistance Program for immediate basic needs.

Additionally, the services include support for guardianship-related matters, providing guidance and resources for individuals navigating the appointment or opposition of guardianship arrangements for children or adolescents.

Provides people with disabilities the opportunity to socialize and develop a variety of skills. Activities include bingo, games, movie nights, fitness classes, Spring Fling Formal Dance, arts and crafts, a family picnic, a Corn Fest with parade, bowling, and holiday parties.

Offers all DHS offices across the state during open hours for people to use as a warm/cool place to stay.

Offers an array of community support services such as respite, therapy services, day training programs, transportation, and nursing services through the coordination by EFGSI's HBS team leader. The program is open for adults and children in the community.

Provides financial assistance with prescriptions that cost less than $150 can be requested directly. Only referring agencies can request help for an individual's prescriptions that cost more than $150, or for other medical needs.

Provides supports and services for families to help their children meet developmental milestones.

Provides health care services to those in need. Services include sick care, chronic disease management, preventive care services, cervical cancer screenings (Pap smears), physical  exams, vaccinations, sexual health services, STI testing and treatment, wellness checkups, work physicals, laboratory and diagnostic testing, referrals for mammograms and other specialty care.

Provides parent education and support to parents with children ages 0-2.5. Each session is personalized, and parents may receive information on topics such as how to sooth a crying baby, child development, medical and dental health, family planning, school readiness, and more. 

Provides one-time assistance to individuals and households experiencing an emergency and in need of immediate life necessities, such as shelter, food, clothing, or other basic needs.
