Rent Payment Assistance
Homeowner Fund Assistance (HAF) is a financial assistance program for IL homeowners who are behind on their mortgage payments, offered through the IL Housing Development Authority (IHDA). Up to $60,000 will be paid to the lender for the homeowner's primary mortgage or mobile home loan, subordinate mortgage (2nd and 3rd position), property taxes, property insurance and/or flood insurance, association fees (HOA, Condo, Co-Op), and Mobile Home Lot Rent.

Rental Deposit Assistance
Emergency Services provides cash assistance to income-eligible clients facing a one-time emergency. These services may include but are not limited to those individuals and families that are in need of help with rental and shelter assistance; gas, light, and other utilities assistance; and mortgage payment assistance.
KCCSI also offers crisis intervention and case management services to those individuals and families who are facing homelessness. A range of services are considered, including motel assistance or referral to a local shelter.
If funds are available, KCCSI is also able to help with first month's rent if a client in need can cover the security deposit.

There are also programs for permanent supportive housing for the chronically homeless with a disabling condition.
