There are also programs for permanent supportive housing for the chronically homeless with a disabling condition. To receive help, funds must be available and individuals must qualify according to grant requirements. Within certain programs, case management services and life skill classes are offered.

Emergency Services provides cash assistance to income-eligible clients facing a one-time emergency. These services may include but are not limited to those individuals and families that are in need of help with rental and shelter assistance; gas, light, and other utilities assistance; and mortgage payment assistance. KCCSI also offers crisis intervention and case management services to those individuals and families who are facing homelessness. A range of services are considered, including motel assistance or referral to a local shelter. If funds are available, KCCSI is also able to help with first month's rent if a client in need can cover the security deposit.
