Provide minor vehicle repairs to individuals to keep their current vehicle safe so they can maintain their employment. Must already have at least 30 days of employment with paystubs. Must be owner of vehicle with up-to-date insurance coverage.

Provides assistance to eligible families in need. Assistance may include rent, auto repairs, gas cards, help with medical care, homelessness, referrals to other organizations, etc. Clients must agree to allow a two person team to make an in-home visit to review the situation.

***This is only to be used as a last resort program and all other resources MUST be used first.

The below steps must be followed to access the Unmet Needs program:

1. Connect with Prairieland United Way. United Way will direct those in need to available resources from food, to housing, and utilities.

2. Use the Salvation Army of Jacksonville. When there are no more resources available through United Way partner organizations, the Salvation Army is equipped to meet a variety of emergency needs.

3. Once the Salvation Army has exhausted all of their program options, they will reach out to the Unmet Needs program on behalf of the person in need. This program can help with rent or utility assistance, home repairs, medical (outstanding bills, ambulance services, eyeglasses, even bus passes to get to medical appointments), and transportation/car repair.

Works to provide reliable transportation to low-to-moderate-income individuals and families to help them gain financial stability, healthcare access, and employment retention. Cars of Hope bridges a vital resource gap by sourcing, repairing, and gifting vehicles completely free of charge to qualified under-resourced families. 

Financial assistance is available for mortgage/rent payments, utilities, or car repairs.
