Provides an opportunity for treatment services to individuals with brain health and co-occurring substance use disorders who have come into contact with the criminal justice system.
The program works to connect individuals to the appropriate level of community-based treatment for their brain health and co-occurring needs in hopes of improving their overall quality of life and reducing their involvement in the criminal justice system.

Program Goals: -Identify individuals with brain health and co-occurring disorders through referrals and screenings. -Connect Individuals to community-based agencies and services. -Provide short term, intensive case monitoring. -Reduce the number of incarcerated persons with brain health and co-occurring disorders in the jails throughout the CROSS Region.

BUILD's Intervention Specialists work on the front lines to diffuse neighborhood conflicts, mentor youth away from gangs and help them overcome histories of violence, trauma, and incarceration. By offering both individualized as well as community-based programming, BUILD opens doors for at-risk youth, empowering them to take charge of their lives, futures, and communities.

New Directions at Anixter Center offers expert linkage and referral care coordination for youth aged 8 to 17 who are experiencing an emotional issue or mental health concern and are involved or at risk of involvement with the justice system. Direct services provided: Mental health screenings & assessments, developing a wellness plan, supporting youth in the court process, and community reintegration.

Allows eligible defendants, referred by the Douglas County Attorney, to earn a dismissal/sealment of their current felony charge(s) in exchange for successfully completing an approximate 18-24 month voluntary program.
Serves youth who are involved, or at risk of involvement, in the juvenile court system. Services include assessment, case management, counseling, therapy, parent advocacy, and support groups.
TASC provides substance use assessments and case management services for courts across Illinois. Clients may be mandated to TASC as an alternative to incarceration at the time of sentencing, or they may be referred post-sentence when they're on probation. TASC case managers conduct clinical assessments, advocate for treatment for those who need it, develop individualized service plans, and place clients into treatment and recovery support services. Youth Seeking Opportunities to Succeed - YSOS Illinois: This is a youth diversion service to assist high-risk youth from further penetration into Juvenile Justice system and to plan and establish additional community sentencing alternatives through collaborative efforts.
Workforce development services include summer employment opportunities for youth as young as 14 years old. They offer more intensive services throughout the school year to the "Opportunity Youth" - young adults ages 16-24 who are out of school and out of work, including those involved in the juvenile justice system.

Prevention, early intervention, and diversion program specifically designed for African American youths to promote positive behaviors, critical thinking, problem solving, and strategies for success. The 10 week program uses the principles of Kwanzaa and African American historical facts to instill cultural pride and accountability.

Provides early intervention with youth in greater metropolitan Omaha communities to reduce juvenile crime while also helping families make positive changes in their lives. Support includes such things as skill building, school advocacy and liaison, community resource connection, family meetings, tutoring, individual and family consultation, skills training, and assistance with transportation.

Chance 4 Change addresses marijuana and paraphernalia possession offenses. Youth can avoid court involvement if they successfully complete all program requirements, referrals are accepted from parents, teachers or law enforcement officers.

Rethinking Drinking provides first time offenders the opportunity to avoid potential prosecution on the charge of underage possession of alcohol in exchange for participation in a 4-hour class.

Diversion Programs
Diversion for juveniles arrested or cited and released by law enforcement. Serves as the focal point for comprehensive assessment and case management and provides the County Attorney with recommendations for services.

Youth Assessment Center, with families and the community, supports activities that contribute to the safety and well-being of youth involved with the juvenile justice system or at risk of becoming involved in the system. Goal is to divert youth from the juvenile detention center where possible and when appropriate. Youth receive comprehensive pre-treatment assessments and drug and alcohol assessments to aid the juvenile court in determining the need for detention.

Staff Secure Detention facilities house youth who are under Juvenile Court jurisdiction only and who do not require a locked facility for supervision and control. The facility is unlocked and the supervision is provided by staff.

Juvenile Detention Center is a secure facility that houses youth who require a locked environment; the facility has a central control room which houses a state of the art computerized security system to monitor and manage security 24-hours a day.

Drug and alcohol evaluations for all youth admitted, as well as year round educational programs through the Lincoln Public Schools/Pathfinder School.
