Provides caseworkers who respond to and investigate reports of abuse, neglect (including self-neglect and hoarding), and exploitation. Caseworkers develop and implement a care plan in order to stabilize the situation and reduce the risk of further harm. Anyone who suspects abuse or neglect should report it. All reports are confidential. Reports can be anonymous.

Provides aging and adult protective services throughout East Central Illinois. Services provide case workers conducting investigations and working with vulnerable adults in resolving these abusive situations financial exploitation, physical abuse, emotional abuse, neglect, and sexual abuse.

Midwest Care Management Services offers guardianship services by securing and managing assets, income, and investments, as well as paying bills. They also assist with screening/hiring caregivers, ensuring clients are in the best possible living situation, and coordinating all aspects of healthcare (i.e. assisting with healthcare decisions, going to doctor's appointments, consenting to procedures.

Provides help vulnerable adults with navigating abusive situations that they may encounter by providing resources to help mitigate risk of vulnerable adults that meet the criteria of the program.

Provides help to senior citizens, who might otherwise need nursing home care, to remain in their own homes by providing in-home and community-based services. Services include, comprehensive care coordination, adult day services, in-home services such as cleaning, meals, laundry, shopping/running errands, and personal hygiene, emergency home response service, and automated medication dispenser service.

Investigates reports of abuse and neglect for individuals ages 60 and over and for adults with disabilities ages 18-59 on behalf of the State of Illinois, and provides interventions to alleviate abuse, neglect, and exploitation.
Handles the personal, financial, and legal affairs of developmentally disabled, mentally ill, and elderly persons with disabilities. Serves as "guardian of last resort" for individuals with disabilities when no other person is available to serve. Most of its wards are indigent or have limited assets.

Pathlights partners with the Illinois Department on Aging (IDOA) to investigate abuse, address concerns, and help eliminate and reduce the risk of abuse. Abuse takes many forms: physical, sexual, emotional, confinement, passive neglect, self-neglect, abandonment, willful deprivation, and financial exploitation. They consult with community experts in banking, law, mental health, and social work, or experts who belong to faith-based, medical and housing organizations to discuss and resolve some of the most challenging cases of abuse.
Solutions for Care is a state-designated Adult Protective Services (APS) agency through the Illinois Department on Aging which investigates Abuse, Neglect, Financial Exploitation, and Self-Neglect of individuals ages 18-59 living with a documented disability and anyone age 60 and over.
Focuses on the prevention, intervention, detection, and reporting of elder abuse, neglect, and exploitation by presenting seniors 60 and older with options to enhance their lifestyle choices.

Provides protective services for adults 60 and over, and adults with disabilities age 18 and over. Abuses of the nature defined by the Adult Protective Services program are a type of domestic violence that have a strong and lasting impact on adults with disabilities and older adults of our community. This type of abuse affects a victim's overall health and well-being and can affect health concerns such as blood pressure, heart problems, and other medical problems.

APS case workers conduct investigations and work with adults in resolving abuse, neglect, or financial exploitation situations. If abuse is substantiated, case workers can provide an in-home assessment, counseling, advocacy, assistance in obtaining benefits and services, coordination with other agencies, and monitoring. All APS caseworkers are trained and certified by the Illinois Department on Aging.
