Services include learning about citizenship, leadership, cooking, arts and crafts, mechanics and technology, horticulture, agriculture, and other subjects. To teach young people about these subjects, the 4-H program uses the learn-by-doing method of instruction.
Free insurance counseling service for Medicare beneficiaries and their caregivers. SHIP counselors can:
- Answer questions about Medicare Supplement insurance, long term care insurance, Medicare managed care plans and other health insurance.
- Organize and assist in filing Medicare Supplement claims.
- Analyze Medicare Supplement and long term care insurance policies.
- Appeal claim denials.
Provides general medical care for veterans and their families. Services include checkups, prevention, diagnosis, treatment of diseases, immunizations and vaccinations, labs and blood work.
Offers sexual health and wellness services including free pregnancy tests, STD/STI testing, HIV testing and treatment (PrEP/PEP), Case Management, anal Pap Smears, free condoms, outreach and prevention education, and more.

Counselors offer non-judgmental and confidential support to women experiencing an unplanned pregnancy or adjusting to life with a newborn. Provides information and support to empower women to decide what is best for themselves, their children, and their families by exploring all of their options. Counselors help women explore resources or make referrals that can assist in parenting or provide more information about adoption.
Offers police and dispatch services for emergency assessments and responses.

- Short-term stabilization where a child is at risk of self-harm, or harming others
- Individual and family psychotherapy/counseling

Offers a free lunch program to individuals in needing a meal.
Meets family or individual upon arrival, provides initial food and housing, assists with obtaining social security cards, enrolling children in school, provides English classes for adults, assists with finding a job, and health screening as well as physical exams.
Also may provide affordable assistance and counseling to the community in a variety of Family Immigration Law cases. Fees are charged based on services provided.
Provides healthy eating and active living programs. Services include free information handouts on healthy eating and other services to promote active living. Other services include kayaking 101, fishing workshop, and nature walks.
Provides inpatient services to individuals needing 24-hour intensive psychiatric care, including inpatient addiction treatment.
Provides long-term and continuing care for pets of senior citizens who require a hospital stay, physical therapy, and/or assisted living. Also provided is long-term boarding for pets of active and deployed military personnel.
The long-term boarding allows the owners of boarded dogs to maintain ownership of their pets, giving them peace of mind that their pets will be well-cared for in a comfortable facility. The program is monthly donation-based, depending upon income and ability to pay. Can be named in a pet trust as the designated caregiver for a pet and can fulfill any wishes of the owner in terms of long-term care or any adoption option.

Parks and recreation department serving the city of Rockford. Provides a wide range of activities for individuals of all ages. Lewis Lemon Community Center (LLCC) and Washington Park Community Center (WPCC) also offer sports programs for youth.
LLCC and WPCC Sports: Community center members are invited to participate in various sports teams. All practices take place on site. Competitions take place between local community centers and other not for profit organizations.

Provides outpatient counseling services for those going through a mental health issue. Services are offered to adults, youth, and families as deemed appropriate. Trained therapists provide evidence-based services with the goal of providing support, developing coping skills, and building natural supports to enhance independent functioning.
Provides financial assistance designed for households with dependent children or individuals exceeding General Assistance budget guidelines and have an emergent need, such housing late payment or eviction notice, utility late payment or disconnect notice, or verified homelessness
Provides a behavioral health drop in center for those in need. The center provides coffee, snacks, and someone to talk to if the person is going through a mental health crisis. Activities found at the center can range from crafts and art projects, to board games and monthly Bingo.
