College scholarships for area students.

Provides divorcing parents the opportunity to learn about and discuss the effect that divorce and changing family situations has on children.

Parents may not attend sessions together. Children or unregistered adults are not permitted to attend sessions.

A CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) is a trained volunteer who is appointed by a judge to speak for abused and neglected children via the court. CASAs are committed and dedicated to the intervention and prevention of child abuse.

Provides training and supervision to volunteers who support and advocate on behalf of foster children.

Offers scholarships, amounts are dependent of funding levels, to income eligible individuals who are planning to attend accredited Illinois University, community college, technical or vocational schools. Preference is given to applicants of racial or ethnic minorities.

Provides city government departments and other city information. 

Provides comprehensive classroom and home-based services to pregnant women and children birth to age five, including children with significant special needs.

CEFS Outreach offices do not serve the program; the program provides services from their own classroom/office locations. (See the notes in Coverage Area for more details.)

Provides financial assistance to qualifying individuals residing in the township for rent and utilities. Assistance is given monthly in the form of a grant for as long as an individual is eligible.

Offers to help children in grades 4-12 develop knowledge and skills. Services include learning about citizenship, leadership, cooking, arts and crafts, mechanics and technology, horticulture, agriculture, and other subjects. To teach young people about these subjects, the 4-H program uses the learn-by-doing method of instruction.

Provides activities designed to increase employment, retention, earnings, and skills in the American workforce.

Provides guidance with job readiness, job search, work-based learning, and classroom training needed to secure and retain employment and become self-sufficient.

Works on assisting out-of-school and in-school youth prepare for employment and postsecondary education opportunities, attain educational and/or skills training credentials, and secure employment with career/promotional opportunities.

Offers to help develop courage, confidence, and character through a variety of engaging, challenging, and fun activities.

Provides a customized one-on-one training program to assist individuals in increasing their employment opportunities. Program length varies upon students' needs. Offered topics include typing, computer skills (Microsoft Word or Excel), customer service skills, resume writing and cover letters, assistance with job search, help filling out applications properly, and employment counseling.

Offers a before and after school program. Services provide safe, fun, and learning activities for children. From creative arts and hands-on science experiments to games and interactive projects. Assistance with homework is also provided. Bus services may also be provided from local schools. 

Provides rape crisis center services available via the hotline. Sexual assault program services include crisis intervention, 24-hours response at medical facilities or police stations, assistance and support with medical and legal procedures, counseling for child and adult survivors of sexual assault.

Offers a group discussion on different grief related topics, specifically suited to losses resulting from overdose. The group is structured in such a way that anyone who regularly attends is guided through expressing and coping with their grief in a structured way, one small step at a time.

Offers group counseling services that integrates mental health treatment with that for substance abuse. This enables clients to learn skills to manage mental health challenges as well as skills related to substance use modification, which can significantly enhance their success rates.

Provides help to African American youth (descendants of Black Freedman) to access the best opportunities for placement in our nation's top colleges, universities, conservatories, internships, and apprenticeships. 

Works to ensure that students of color receive access to high-stakes educational opportunities through mentorship, leadership development and community education. 

Students participate in a year round program to help students be successful. 

Provides a temporary financial aid program for those who are not qualified for state or federally funded aid.  May provide assistance with rent, utilities, food, and household or personal essentials. May provide bus passes and basic burial assistance if decedent was receiving General Assistance at time of death.

Emergency Preparedness and Response Program incorporates the following preparedness activities, emergency preparedness planning, community outreach, preparedness planning materials, epidemiological investigation, Medical Reserve Corps, Pandemic Influenza Community Coalition (PICC) and Special Needs Advisory Panel (SNAP).

Offers faith-based post-abortion support.

Offers rental education workshops, pre-purchase home buying counseling, and financial education workshops.
